Privacy Policy
Last updated: 17 September 2026
This notice explains how personal information is handled when you visit www.kacperbart.com or contact me through the links on this website.
Who is responsible
Kacper Bartosiewicz is responsible for this personal portfolio website and is the controller of personal information handled for its operation and related enquiries. For privacy questions or requests, email kacperbart.business@gmail.com.
Information used and why
- Website delivery and security: the hosting provider, Hostinger, receives technical information needed to serve pages and may record access and security logs, including your IP address, requested page, date and time, browser details, response status and referring address if supplied by your browser. This supports reliable operation, fault diagnosis and prevention of abuse.
- Messages you choose to send: if you email me, I receive your email address, name if provided, message and attachments. I use these to reply, share work you request and manage our correspondence. The site itself has no contact form, accounts, payment processing or mailing-list registration.
The legal basis for ordinary enquiries and website security is legitimate interests: responding to people who contact me and operating a reliable, secure portfolio. If an enquiry involves steps you request before entering a contract, that processing may instead be necessary for those steps. Information may also be retained where necessary to meet a legal obligation.
Providing a message is voluntary, although I need contact details to reply. This website does not use personal information for automated decision-making or profiling.
Cookies and tracking
The website’s pages do not set cookies or use analytics, advertising pixels, local storage or embedded social feeds. Images and styles are served from this site. See the Cookies Policy for details.
Service providers and external links
Hostinger provides website hosting. Google’s Gmail service handles messages sent to the email address above. These providers may process information to deliver and secure their services. Information may also be disclosed where required by law. Personal information is not sold.
Links to LinkedIn, GitHub and Substack take you to separate services with their own privacy practices. Their content is not embedded here, and visiting this site alone does not load those services. Read Hostinger’s privacy policy and Google’s privacy policy for information about those providers.
International processing
Hosting and email services can involve processing outside Ireland, the European Economic Area or the UK, including in the United States. Hostinger’s data processing addendum describes the standard contractual clauses and UK transfer addendum it applies where required. Google describes its use of adequacy decisions, the Data Privacy Framework and standard contractual clauses in its data transfer safeguards. The mechanism applicable to a transfer depends on the destination and service; contact me for information about the arrangements relevant to your data or how to obtain a copy of the applicable safeguards.
How long information is kept
Correspondence is kept for as long as needed to answer your enquiry and maintain any ongoing professional relationship, taking account of necessary follow-up, legal obligations or disputes. When those purposes no longer apply, it should be deleted. Hosting logs and backup copies follow the provider’s configured retention and deletion cycles; the site’s pages do not maintain a separate visitor database. Contact me for information about retention applicable to a specific enquiry or visit.
Your rights
Subject to the conditions in applicable data protection law, you can request access, correction, erasure, restriction or portability of your personal information, and object to processing based on legitimate interests. Where processing relies on consent, you can withdraw it without affecting earlier lawful processing. To make a request, use the email address above.
You may complain to the Irish Data Protection Commission, the UK Information Commissioner’s Office, or your relevant local supervisory authority.
