I expand on complexity through research, data and innovation: building practical systems, analysing messy information, and translating technical, financial and operational ideas into structured solutions.
University College Dublin (UCD)
Relevant modules: Advanced Macro, Advanced Micro, Banking & Financial Stability.
Thesis: TBD.
Queen’s University Belfast
Relevant modules: Deep Learning, Topological Data Analysis (TDA), Modelling & Simulation, Financial Mathematics.
Developed a Python-based framework to scrape, construct and compare Google autosuggestion networks across the UK, US and Australia using NetworkX and Zhang–Shasha Tree Edit Distance. Analysed regional structural differences, introduced tree-size normalisation for cross-market comparison, and explored the scalability limits of classical TED methods.
Applied Topological Data Analysis and the Ball Mapper algorithm to ~74,000 US census tracts, combining economic, demographic and 2020–2024 electoral data. Used the resulting topology to investigate localised generational and demographic patterns in changes in political support.

Developed an SQL-based stock management system for Yogi24 LTD, consolidating Excel files into an SQL-based stock system, improving inventory, packing and delivery data accuracy, and supporting faster workflows across stock processes.
Analysed air-quality and solar-energy data, designed a predictive machine-learning tool for renewable energy storage, and supported operational decision-making around solar battery usage.
Co-authored a differential-equation modelling study of oyster reef survival and restoration in Chesapeake Bay, tracking live oysters, shell volume and sediment. Extended the model to explore warming, acidification and other environmental pressures, examining how these affect reef survival thresholds and oyster growth.
Co-authored an Intelligent Driver Model simulation of a single-lane ring road, comparing traffic density, flow and speed. Added traffic lights and a restricted-speed zone to investigate how traffic-calming measures affect congestion and the balance between peak throughput and steadier flow.
Explores the history of woodland loss in Ireland and Britain, connecting land use and agricultural subsidies with opportunities for ecological restoration. Makes the case for native woodland recovery, rewilding and farming reforms, drawing on New Zealand’s experience.
Currently investigating heterogeneity of Capital, its influence on entrepreneurs and businesses within an uncertain and disequilibrium future; alongside its applications to network theory.

Hey, my name is Kacper Bartosiewicz, I’m a Business Architecture Analyst at Accenture, an MSc student at UCD studying Economics & Data Analysis. I completed my undergrad at Queen’s University Belfast in Mathematics & Computer Science. I have multiple areas of interest from LLMs, Data, Banking, Capital and I’m constantly looking for ways to intersect them. I enjoy hiking, surfing, swimming and reading in my spare time.
